Privacy Policy – Jinja.app Viewer

Jinja.app Viewer ("Viewer," "we," "our," or "us") is a runtime viewing application that allows users to preview and interact with applications built using the Jinja.app development environment by entering an app code. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Jinja.app Viewer mobile application (the "App").


By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.


1. What the Viewer App Does

Jinja.app Viewer is a viewer and testing tool. It does not provide app-building functionality. The App loads and displays applications created elsewhere using Jinja.app, allowing users to navigate, click through, and test app behavior on a real mobile device.


2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

The Viewer App may collect:

  • App codes entered by users to load and display apps. App codes are used solely to retrieve and render the corresponding application content.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you use the App, limited technical information may be collected automatically, such as:

  • Device type and operating system
  • App version
  • Basic usage data (e.g., app launches, load success or failure)
  • Error and crash logs

This information is used only to ensure stability, performance, and reliability of the Viewer App.


3. App Content and Review

Applications viewed through the Jinja.app Viewer are created using the Jinja.app platform and are subject to platform rules and review processes. We do not allow apps that contain illegal, harmful, or abusive content.

All apps made available for viewing through the Viewer are reviewed in accordance with Jinja.app policies. We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or remove access to any app that violates our terms or applicable laws.

While app content is defined by the app creator, Jinja.app takes responsibility for enforcing content standards and maintaining a safe viewing environment within the Viewer.


4. International Data Transfers

Jinja.app Viewer may process and store information on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. By using the App, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Some of our service providers and infrastructure partners may be located outside the European Union, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. Where required by law, we implement appropriate safeguards—such as contractual protections or other legal mechanisms—to ensure that personal data remains protected when transferred internationally.

When necessary to provide the Viewer’s functionality, we may transfer data on the basis that such transfer is required for the performance of a contract or the delivery of the service. We remain responsible for the protection of personal data processed on our behalf by third parties and take reasonable steps to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws.


5. How We Use Information

Information collected by the Viewer App is used to:

  • Load and display apps associated with provided App codes
  • Enable full interaction and navigation within viewed apps
  • Monitor performance and fix bugs
  • Improve reliability and user experience

We do not use Viewer App data for advertising or marketing purposes.


6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. Information may be shared only:

  • With infrastructure and service providers required to operate the Viewer App (e.g., hosting, crash reporting)
  • When required by law or legal process
  • To protect the security and integrity of the App

All service providers are required to process data securely and only for permitted purposes.


7. Public App Viewing

Some apps loaded through the Viewer may be designated as public by their creators. Public apps can be viewed and interacted with by anyone who has the App code. You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to view or share any app loaded using the Viewer App.


8. Data Retention

We retain technical and usage data only for as long as necessary to operate, maintain, and improve the Viewer App. App codes and viewed content are not retained longer than required for runtime viewing and diagnostics.


9. Security

We apply reasonable technical safeguards to protect information processed by the Viewer App. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.


10. Children’s Privacy

The Viewer App is suitable for users aged 13 and older, including students using it for educational purposes. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.


11. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data related to the Viewer App. Requests can be made using the contact information below.


12. Your Information

  • Access and Correction: Requests related to accessing, correcting, or exporting your information should be submitted to us through our contact method. We may require reasonable verification of your identity before fulfilling a request.
  • Deletion: To delete your information, you may be required to authenticate your request to ensure security. Deletion requests apply to information associated with your use of the Viewer and may be irreversible once completed. We may decline requests where we cannot reasonably verify identity or where retention is required by law.

13. Non-Discrimination

We do not discriminate against users for exercising their privacy rights. However, certain features or functionality of the App may be limited or unavailable depending on your choices. Any differences in service are related solely to the functionality provided.


14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App or associated distribution pages, and the "Last updated" date will be revised.
